Our Story
A Grand Home
With a Grand Heart
Built in 1882 as the family home of George Washington Wood — son of iron and steel industrialist John "Squire" Wood, Conshohocken's first burgess and U.S. Congressman — this Victorian treasure has been lovingly stewarded through generations of caring owners.
Today, under the vision of longtime hospitality professional MJ Paschall, the Willough continues its tradition of welcoming travelers with curated, memorable experiences. Nestled in the heart of Conshohocken, just steps from Fayette Street's award-winning restaurants and vibrant community, we offer a deeply personal alternative to the ordinary hotel stay.

Culinary Experience
A Taste of
Conshohocken
Every morning, the Willough comes alive with the aromas of Chef Robert Barrett's thoughtfully crafted breakfast. As a child, Robert was captivated by the world of food — leading to his first job at Carmen's Restaurant in Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton. After earning his Hospitality Management degree at Drexel, he honed his skills at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, Hotel DuPont, and the Philadelphia Art Museum.
His dedication to gastronomy led him to become a Certified Sommelier, traveling to France's Loire Valley to study winemaking and French cuisine. We are proud to have Robert creating dishes that are both innovative and nourishing for our guests.
